About ALJ Photography

As the manager of, and photographer in, a successful commercial studio I have spent the last four years capturing the joy in people’s lives on a daily basis.

With the birth of my first son 10 years ago my passing interest in photography quickly developed into an all-consuming passion. This intensified with the birth of my second son, and I figured what better way to honour their lives than by capturing them in photos. Capturing these moments has helped me immortalize them before they fade in time or become all too soon forgotten.

This is more than a business to me – it is an extension of my life and provides me with huge personal rewards in capturing these moments for other people. There is no greater inspiration than the smiles I capture and the smiles I receive in thanks.

I have spent many years capturing the joy in my own life as well as the lives of family, friends and strangers – many of whom, through my photography, have become friends. I look forward to capturing the joy in your life, whatever it may be…
